The Santa Monica Observer is an adjudicated newspaper of general circulation in the City of Santa Monica, County of Los Angeles, State of California, qualified to publish legal notices under California Government Code Section 6000 et seq.

We provide legal notice publication services including but not limited to: Fictitious Business Name Statements (DBAs), Summons, Petitions for Probate, Name Change Petitions, and other legal advertisements as required by California law.

3. Payment and Pricing

Prices for publication services are listed on our website and are subject to change without notice. Payment is required at the time of submission through our secure payment processing system.

We accept submissions whether payment is completed or not. However, publication will only proceed upon receipt of full payment. Unpaid submissions may be contacted for payment follow-up.

4. Submission Accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy of all information provided in your legal notice submission. We will publish the notice as submitted. Any errors or corrections needed after submission may require republication at additional cost.

5. Publication Schedule

Legal notices are published according to the statutory requirements for each notice type. Standard publication is once per week for the required number of weeks as specified by California law.

6. Proof of Publication

An Affidavit of Publication will be provided upon completion of the publication period. This document serves as legal proof that the notice was published as required by law.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

Once publication has begun, cancellations are not permitted. Refunds may be issued only if publication has not yet started and the cancellation request is received in writing within 24 hours of submission.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

We collect personal information only as necessary to process your legal notice publication. Your contact information will not be shared with third parties except as required by law or necessary to complete the publication service.

9. Document Submission

We do not require document uploads through our website. If supporting documents are needed, they may be requested via email after initial submission. For public record documents (such as court filings), we may retrieve them directly using provided case numbers.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Santa Monica Observer's liability is limited to republication of the notice or refund of the publication fee. We are not responsible for any indirect, consequential, or punitive damages arising from errors, delays, or failures in publication.

11. Compliance with California Law

All publication services are provided in accordance with California state law, including but not limited to the California Government Code, Code of Civil Procedure, and Probate Code provisions governing legal notice publication.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
